5 Ways to Simplify your Social Media Strategy

1.     Copy and paste sets of your most frequently used hashtags into your notes. This is a big timesaver, and it enables you to be more intentional and discerning about the hashtags you use.

2.     Create a folder on your phone specifically for your social media content. When you’re at your studio or working on your art, take pictures and videos that you can use for future posts.

3.     Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook are constantly evolving their algorithms; so, if you notice your posts getting less traction, browse the platform and see what’s currently trending.

4.     Utilize the analytics features that provide insight into how many accounts your post reached, how many were followers vs other users, how many people engaged with the post, etc. All of those metrics are important to monitor, but not obsess over. One mediocre post may get a lot of attention, and you’ll never be able to figure out why.

5.     Know the best times of day to post. There are lots of sites that have charts showing when Instagram’s peak viewership hours are for each day. I can’t vouch for the accuracy of their data or if the audience you want to target browses at those times, but you can think about when the people you want to target will be browsing. If they’re working adults, they might be browsing around lunch, late afternoon, early evening.
